Snippets of inspiration this week…

Our double sided cotton scarves lined with chiffon, allow you to accessorise well into spring, wrapping up for cooler days, or adding a bright accent to an outfit. Each print is carefully designed with a lot of attention given to the overall composition so that it shows off the print to the max when it is worn.
The exclusive one off print makes it a unique, luxurious gift, or a special treat for yourself. Below is a collage of pictures revealing a glimpse into where my inspiration came from…mainly the glorious Hampshire countryside.

Here are a selection of pictures I took on a recent visit to India. When I design print & pattern here in the UK, I like to look at the elements of nature at work, for example light, texture, shadows and reflection. The photos below however, confirm that my bright colour palette is inherited from the motherland!
Marigold Decorations
Edge of the Meadow makes sense of two very different cultures working together in harmony.
At home, inspiration is always where I least expect it. This board features a series of pics I took with my i phone whilst washing up. All mundane tasks deserve a splash of colour!
Perhaps this was the catalyst for my bright tea towel prints?
Art Deco Pattern Inspiration from The Imperial Hotel Prague.
Criss crossing lines and clean colourful geometric shapes make striking patterns in both colour and shades of grey ( see Prague trams below )When it comes to creating new colourways, the golds, deep teals and neutrals in this nostalgic colour palette may sit well next to Pantone’s colour of the year Marsala. I would be tempted to add some bright accents in there too!
Clean elegant lines and shapes on the floor tiles and windows from almost 100 years ago!
